Salon Safe: Infection Control + Sanitation Standards (2 hours)

This course is a continuing education course, approved by the Maryland Board of Cosmetology. Participants will learn the difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing, and receive step-by-step guidance on how to maintain a safe salon, spa, or suite. The course covers blood spill procedures, single-use item policies, and how to prepare for an inspection. Real-world scenarios are used to reinforce practical application, and additional focus is given to controlling the spread of communicable diseases such as COVID-19, staph, and fungal infections.
